The Entrance Exam (Aufnahmetest)


 

Applicants must pass the Studienkolleg Entrance Exam to ensure they can follow lessons in German and have sufficient knowledge to follow lessons in the main subjects.

Depending on the study course you are aiming for and on your previous qualifications, you can take the Entrance Exam for the:

T-course leading to technological studies 

W-course leading to business or social studies

When taking the Entrance Exam you will be tested in

Each of these tests lasts 60 minutes. The following means of assistance are permitted / not permitted:

Studienkolleg Entrance Exam for the W-course

German

Economics

dictionaries and other means of assistance are not permitted

Admission to the Studienkolleg Entrance Exam

A German language certificate attesting basic knowledge of the German language is needed to be admitted to the Studienkolleg Entrance Exam. The language certificate needs to be equivalent to:

  • the Upper Basic Level of the Goethe Institutes or
  • the Level A2 (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages)


The latest possible date for handing in your language certificate is two weeks prior to the Studienkolleg Entrance Exam
