Department of Business, Cultural and Legal Studies is the organizational home of the people who work and teach in the business-centered study programs, both the fundamental Bachelor’s and consecutive Master’s Programs, as well as in the Language Center and the Business Service Center, and also in the institutionalized Student Initiatives.
The department considers one of its most important tasks to provide freedom and to encourage all members of the department to use this freedom: freedom for the continuous development of content and forms of teaching, freedom for research and transfer of knowledge in practical experience, freedom for the continued improvement of activities in education and the optimization of administrative processes of the department and its students.
With its methods of selecting students, its research-based and practice-oriented courses, its instruments for securing quality and its offers for post-graduates, the department is well-equipped to face the challenges of the knowledge-based community and the Bologna Process. All department members work together toward the goal of transferring this confidence to our students.
How to study with us
International students can complete coursework with the Department of Business, Cultural and Legal Studies by either taking part in an academic exchange or applying for admission to a full degree program at the HTWG Konstanz. In either case, strong German language skills are recommended for both everyday life in Constance and our classes, most of which are conducted in German.
- Exchange programs are supervised by the Akademisches Auslandsamt (International Office) and are usually 1-2 semesters in length.
- Students who wish to complete their entire course of study at the HTWG Konstanz will need to contact the Studienkolleg Konstanz (Center for International Students) before filing a direct application for admission in order to have their German language skills assessed and their school diplomas validated.
