Constance Academy of Business Ethics
Once a year, the KIeM and the HTWG Konstanz faculty of economics organize the Constance Academy of Business Ethics (CABE) addressing students of all branches from all over Europe.
The concern of the summer school is to strengthen the awareness for the importance of "ethics and economy" not only in society but already in universities and to bring together future decision-makers from different countries for a joint process of learning. They do increasingly understand that moral values and ethical criteria are an indispensable part of corporate acting.
The KIeM keeps contacts worldwide and explicitly takes into account practical dimensions, too, when reflecting the subject. So the participants do not only have the possibility to discuss with renowned scientists from all over the world. Among the referees are also representatives of well-known corporations like British American Tobacco and Fraport, and representatives of non-governmental organisations like Rainforest Alliance or Foreign Trade Association.
The CABE understands itself as a platform and meeting point to discuss the state-of-the-art, to exchange information and to do networking. According to the international orientation of the summer school, the lectures are given in German and English.
