Vita

Studied French literature, sociology and media studies at the Universities of Constance, Paris (Sorbonne) and Lyon II. Graduate thesis on autobiographical forms in writing about the Holocaust.

Research assistant at the University of Constance in the research project on "Theory and History of Intermediality". Scholarship for the Graduate Programme on "Codification of violence in Medial Transformation" at the Humboldt-University in Berlin. Ph.D. project about comic and grotesque forms of representing the memory of the Holocaust in film, literary writing and about the discussion of aesthetic representative norms across cultures.

Latest publication on the representation of Afro-European identities in current literature in the Proceedings of the IVth Europe Colloqium in Constance (to be published in spring 2008).
