Intercultural Management
Led by Peter Franklin, KIeM conducts applied research into communication and cooperation processes in international business and management, for example, in a current project funded by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research on Anglo-German business communication.
Further topics of investigation include dysfunctional communication and cooperation in international management, the form and content of culturally appropriate marketing communication, such as advertising and negotiation, and the cultural appropriateness and transferability of business, management and leadership concepts.
Intercultural management education and training form an element of KIeM's activities. In this area, KIeM has a particular competence in the development and implementation of e-learning solutions, such as www.dialogin.com The Delta Intercultural Academy and www.fhk-mba.de, the e-learning area of the Konstanz M.B.A. programmes.
