Bachelor and Master

HTWG Konstanz University of Applied Sciences

The Bachelors and Masters Degree Programs

In contrast to the former German Diplom degree courses, the new bachelors degree programs allow German and international students to study in a shorter period and earn a bachelors degree in three to three and a half years.

Nevertheless students who complete a bachelors degree program can study further to gain a masters level degree.

Academic excellence

Hochschule Konstanz enjoys a reputation for top-quality instruction in the fields of engineering, architecture, computer science, business administration and the highly competitive fields of Applied Communication and Culture, Management and Technology, and Communications Design. The HTWG also offers innovative advanced programs in Engineering and Management to enhance three of its technical degrees. These interdisciplinary programs emphasize foreign-language skills, business and technology course work and real-world project management to meet the professional challenges of increased industrial globalization.

Technical facilities

The extensive technical and computing labs at HTWG contribute to the university’s high profile for both training and research applications. Sixty modern, well equipped laboratories and architecture studios provide extensive training space for the students. The Computing Center networks all the university buildings, and its server connects the HTWG with national and international networks.

The CAD/CAM Institute is also linked with the computing center, allowing students and professionals enrolled in continuing education courses to work with various CA technologies both in theory and in practice.
The Welding Laboratory cooperates with the German Welding Association (DVS) in both professional training programs and testing. Its comprehensive array of welding and cutting installations, robots and highly efficient testing equipment (e.g., X-ray scanners) are available to industrial firms on a request-for-service basis. Finally, the HTWG Library is open to the public and linked to the KOALA on-line catalog for a wide range of information services and local and interlibrary loan.
