Research and Transfer of Technology
Applied research and development at HTWG is oriented toward solving practical problems similar to those encountered in the field. R&D therefore represents a necessary supplement to the applied method of teaching.
The Institute for Applied Research is responsible for the framework of medium and long-term full-time research activity at HTWG. Presently there are an estimated 80 individual research projects being run by the professors at HTWG.
The information centers of the Steinbeis Foundation for Economic Promotion of Baden-Württemberg provide HTWG staff access to the innovative knowledge, modern equipment and technical know-how of regional companies.
