Research, Technology Transfer and Continuing Education
Applied research and development at HTWG is oriented toward solving the type of practical problems encountered in the field, as opposed to the basic research conducted at other institutions of higher education. R&D therefore represents a necessary supplement to the applied method of teaching. The institutional framework for middle and long-term, full-time research activity at Hochschule Konstanz is ensured by the Institute for Applied Research. At the moment there are about 40 individual research projects run by the professors at HTWG.
The transfer centers of the Steinbeis Foundation for Economic Promotion of Baden-Württemberg also provide regional firms with access to innovative knowledge, modern equipment and the technical know-how of HTWG staff.
