Values Management / Business Ethics
It was at KIeM that, under Josef Wieland's leadership, the concept of values management underwent scientific development. It has subsequently been implemented in numerous companies.
One example of this work is the scientific support KIeM has provided for many years to a programme initiated by 35 companies engaged in the Bavarian construction industry which, through the adoption of an ethics management system, have committed themselves to legal and fair business practices.
By now, values management has developed into a recognised management standard. KIeM cooperates internationally with companies such as ABB, BASF, Fraport, Novartis and Schwarz Pharma in the implementation and further development of values management systems.
In addition to its research work, KIeM also works as an external expert assessor in the validation and auditing of ethics and values management systems. The Institute advises companies and organisations on the introduction of values programmes and provides management development courses on business ethics.
