Information about the Coronavirus

March 3, 2020

The coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, is spreading. The HTWG Konstanz administration has adopted measures in order to minimize the spread of this new type of virus.

The Robert Koch Institute currently estimates the health risk for people living in Germany as moderate. It is assumed that the number of confirmed cases of infection will increase in the next days.

The HTWG Konstanz administration has set up a crisis team to deal with the coronavirus. This crisis team consists of members of the HTWG Konstanz Executive Board, the Human Resources Department, Building Management, the International Students Office, Studienkolleg, the Staff Council, and the Communication Department. The team meets daily to assess current developments and, if necessary, to implement necessary measures. The crisis team is also in contact with the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and Art, as well as the local health authorities and our on-site doctor.

Students, faculty and staff will receive regular updates via email. We have also set up a coronavirus information page on our website to provide you with more details. There you can find advice on how to protect yourself and others from this new virus, as well as a series of external links.

The HTWG Konstanz - University of Applied Sciences has also set up an email-address to answer any questions you may have about the coronavirus or the measures we have implemented.
