The coronavirus SARS-CoV-2, which originated in the Chinese city of Wuhan, is spreading. The HTWG Konstanz administration has adopted measures in order to minimize the spread of this new type of virus.

On January 30th of this year, the World Health Organization (WHO) identified the current outbreak of this new type of coronavirus in China as a "Public Health Emergency of International Concern" (PHEIC).

Hygiene Measures

The following hygiene measures are recommended for everyone:

  • When coughing or sneezing, keep your distance from others; or turn away and cough/sneeze into your elbow area; or hold a tissue in front of your mouth and nose, then immediately dispose of the tissue.
  • Wash your hands regularly and thoroughly using soap and water.
  • Avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth.
