Welcome to the Studienkolleg - Center for International Students

Are you planning to study at a University of Applied Sciences in Baden-Württemberg?

The Center of International Students ("Studienkolleg") validates your records and issues the certification you need for your application to the Universities of Applied Sciences in Baden-Württemberg.

In addition, the Studienkolleg conducts two-semester courses, in which you will be prepared for your degree course and take the necessary exam for university entry ("Feststellungsprüfung"):

  • T-Course: Preparation for technical and engineering courses. Taught subjects include German, Technical German, Analysis, Linear Algebra, Physics, Chemistry, English, Computer Science, Technical Drawing.
  • W-Course: Preparation for couses in business and social sciences studies. Taught subjects include German, Business German, Analysis, Business Studies, Accounting, Computer Science, English, Law.

International students at the universities in Baden-Württemberg have to pay tuition fees (1,500 EUR per semester). Students from Germany or from other EU countries and refugees do not have to pay tuition fees.

No tuition fees are charged for attending the Studienkolleg. However, just like all students at German universities, approax. 150 EUR is charged per semester for the student services and as a contribution to the administrative costs of the higher education institutions.

The recognition of the educational certificates from your home country is free of charge.
