DAAD Language certificate Spanisch
This section provides information about requirements for students applying to study abroad programs in Spain or Latin America.
DAAD Language Levels
The DAAD offers language certificates for language proficiency levels A1-C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). Each Spanish and Latin American partner college determines their own language criteria for students applying to spend an academic semester at their institution. This experience of studying abroad will almost certainly help you improve your language skills and give you confidence in the language. We are happy to see our students improve their language and cross-cultural skills that will help them in their future careers.

Language Tests - Testing Dates
In order to obtain a DAAD language certificate, you will have to take a test to determine your speaking, writing and comprehension (reading and listening) skills. These skills correspond to the DAAD criteria list and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
The tests are given once per semester (twice a year) during the last week of classes. Students who do NOT attend a Spanish course during the semester, still need to contact the Spanish instructor, Mrs. de la Rosa delarosa@htwg-konstanz.de to sign up (test materials must be prepared).
Requests from the International Students Office
DAAD language certificates are not automatically issued at the end of Spanish courses, but only when students are actually applying to study abroad / for jobs. Please contact Mrs. Fabiana Pflüger fabiana.pflueger@htwg-konstanz.de at the International Students Office.
She will then inform Mrs. de la Rosa, who will issue the DAAD form and send it back to Mrs. Pflüger. Please keep in mind that this is a bureaucratic process and may take some time.
