Let’s start with the basics: getting something to eat and drink on campus. The HTWG Campus offers the following options:
The campus dining hall is located next to the library in the wood and glass building on the Rhine (upstairs). They serve three different daily dishes, including a vegetarian dish. There’s also a salad buffet, and you can also choose from various side dishes. Great views of the Rhine. You can pay for meals with your handy ZACK card.

Mo – Fr: 11am – 2pm
The cafeteria is located on the ground floor of the same building. They serve breakfast, snacks and several lunch items. This is a popular place to meet friends for coffee and enjoy the views. Here you have a bit more flexibility: you can either use your ZACK card or pay in cash.

Right in front of the Mensa, on the river-side, is one of the highlights on the HTWG Konstanz campus (and some would say Konstanz): our very own beach bar, complete with real sand and cozy beach chairs. This is not only one of the students’ favorite spots in spring and summer, but also an insider tip for locals. So grab a drink, dig your feet in the sand, and chill.
Our Beach Bar is open daily on all sunny days from April to October. Check the Beach Bar-website to find out if the bar is open.

During the semester break, the Beach Bar opens at 2 pm. It is unfortunately (but understandably) closed on rainy days.
What would a European university be without its own cozy café, where students can take a break from their heavy work load and meet their friends for a cup of coffee and philosophize about life, the universe and everything? This café, run by the AStA student union, is located on the ground floor in tiny Building E.
