International Engineering and Management
The degree program in International Engineering and Management offers students the ideal preparation for a career in international business at the interface between management and technical sciences with a focus on electrical engineering and information technology. Overview of International Engineering and Management
The degree program comprises seven semesters. A preparatory mathematics course and a mix of individually tailored support courses (to consolidate the fundamentals) help make it easier for you to get started with your studies.

- Main Studies
You will enter the main studies in the third semester and expand on your knowledge and competences from the basic studies.
The fourth semester is a practical study semester. You will become familiar with the structures and processes of an industrial company. Through on-the-job training, you will expand your knowledge and gain an understanding of your future professional field. You will also have the opportunity to network with employers.
During the fifth and sixth semesters, you will further develop your skills. Through compulsory electives, you can either broaden your range of competencies or specialise in a specific area. You will also work on a challenging, practical team project.
From the fifth semester onwards, you will specialise individually in one of the modules of specialisation:
- Electrical and Electronic Systems
- Information Technologies and AI
- Sustainable Energy Systems
- Sustainable Global Value NetworksYou complete your studies with the Bachelor's thesis at the university or at a company.

Application Requirements
1) Preliminary Recognition of Certificates:
All international applicants who do not have a German university entrance qualifications must have their qualifications recognized by the Studienkolleg of the HTWG. To get your certificates (preliminarily) recognized please upload the following documents at the application form of the Studienkolleg Konstanz:
- Curriculum vitae
- A copy of your passport
- Copies of your certificates (high school diploma and, if applicable, bachelor’s degree + transcript of records, and grading system of your previous university)
- Translations of your certificates, if they are not in English or French
- APS certificate, if applicable - details on the website of the Studienkolleg

Following Steps:
- If you already have an official certificate of recognition, please upload it in the Application Portal.
- If you have applied for the preliminary recognition, please send the Email “Your Application for the Recognition of your Certificates” to ei-international@htwg-konstanz.de
Final Recognition of Certificates: To meet the enrollment requirements, you will need an official recognition document (paper document, signed and stamped) issued by the Studienkolleg. To obtain this document, you will be informed about further steps after a positive preliminary recognition.
2) Orientation Test:
The Orientation Test is a mandatory admission requirement for all applicants to universities in Baden-Württemberg. It is designed to assess your academic qualifications and determine whether your educational background meets the standards required for studying in Germany.
You must complete this test as part of your application process and upload the certificate of participation to the portal (please note, there is no need to upload your results or grades). For more information and to take the test, please visit: https://www.was-studiere-ich.de/dashboard and complete the "Interessenstest" (test of interests), which takes about 15 minutes.
3) Language Requirements:
All applicants must have B2 level English skills or higher. In addition, they are required to provide evidence of this proficiency through official certification, such as IELTS or TOEFL, among others.
It is highly recommended, to have A1 German skills when they start their studies in order to smoothen the start in Germany.
