The working group deals with autonomous robotic systems. One of the focal points is the planning and control of motion sequences of mobile robots and cobots.
Another area of research involves localisation and mapping by means of mobile robots, also known as Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM). Furthermore, the working group is concerned with how robots can move in human societies in a way that respects and complies with social norms, conventions and expectations (Socially Compliant Mobile Robot Navigation).
