HTWG Konstanz Board of Trustees
The board of trustees advises and supports the HTWG Konstanz - University of Applied Sciences in managing its various tasks. "The HTWG Konstanz - University of Applied Sciences has an advisory board bearing the name Board of Trustees. The advisory board has the responsibility of supporting the HTWG Konstanz in its work and facilitating collaboration with industry. Membership in the advisory board shall be determined by the senate. The members of the advisory board shall be appointed by the president." (Paragraph 17, Basic Regulations for the HTWG Konstanz - University of Applied Sciences Konstanz).
Our discussions with politicians, business people, administrators, professional associations and other universities have led to a very useful exchange of ideas. The committee’s suggestions help the HTWG Konstanz, for example, to better adapt its programs to the needs of industry. On the other hand, the HTWG Konstanz can discuss and promote its objectives more successfully in public with the board of trustee’s support.
The HTWG Konstanz - University of Applied Sciences interfaces with the members of the board by presenting its projects and concepts and participating in an open and critical dialog. The HTWG Konstanz also relies on the members, in their interface role, to spread the university’s objectives and thus garner more publicity and a stronger reputation. The members of the board are important liaisons to business, science and politics. The HTWG Konstanz sees the members’ essential role as building bridges and opening new doors.
