What is International Project Engineering (IPE)?
Shape our Future: IPE graduates have many career opportunities, ranging from specialized professionals to management positions in international projects involving plant construction or product development. As an engineer with a practically-oriented education that also includes English-language and intercultural skills, you will have the background to master the challenges of a global, complex and ever-changing business world.
The IPE program is run by the department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology in collaboration with the Civil Engineering department. Classes in the IPE program are taught by faculty and a series of adjunct lecturers that work in the business world. We believe in small-classes, and focus on giving our students the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge as well as problem solving and methods expertise. Most business and law classes are taught in English, and students can choose electives (mostly technical) from an extensive list of interdisciplinary courses.
Students complete the program and form their professional profile by spending a semester abroad - either at a company or at one of our partner universities. Many students complete their master’s thesis there. Students who decide to focus on their studies abroad spend a fourth semester writing their thesis.
Our staff is here to help you plan your studies. We look forward to welcoming international exchange students in our program.
