Micro Credential: "Intercultural Competences"
OUR NEW INTERNATIONAL QUALIFICATION
Show future employers or graduate schools that you have intercultural skills – get the IKZ Micro Certificate "Intercultural Competences” during your studies. This qualification consists of three modules with different requirements that you complete over several semesters.
The experiences you gather in these modules prepares you for working internationally in intercultural teams.

Who can participate?
The micro credential program is open to all HTWG students, exchange students, and students who participate in selected international excursion programs. Contact us for more details.
Structure of Micro Credential:
The Micro Credential consists of 10 ECTS points in three competence modules:
COMPETENCE AREAS | CONTENT | ECTS |

M1 International Experience | Study or internship abroad (for at least 12 continuous weeks) as part of your studies. This is worth 15 regular ECTS points and includes a self-learning / reflection component. 10 ECTS points are counted towards the Micro Degree. | 4 |
M2 Intercultural Knowledge and Competences | This involves completing 1-2 courses in intercultural communication (or related) plus an additional term paper. This is worth 5 ECTS points towards the Micro Degree. | 5 |
M3 International Engagement | Students need to participate in 2 HTWG programs that support international students. These include our Buddy Program, Tandem Language Exchange, Helping Hand, or your own project. 3-5 ECTS points are counted towards the Micro Degree. | 1 |
