The curriculum includes mandatory classes for each semester, is valid for upcoming semesters, and must conform to the regular provisions in the Study and Exam Regulations.
Individualized Curriculum
Each HTWG Konstanz degree program has its regular curriculum for students in its program. This consists of the courses, credits, internships, etc. that student need to complete to receive their degrees. However, it is possible to set up an individualized curriculum for your studiesbased on your own individual needs.
This is relevant for the following persons:
- Students with children
- Students caring for parents or relatives
- Students with a disability or chronic illness or other long-term health conditions
- Students in temporarily difficult life situations that make studying difficult
Students who wish to set up such a curriculum can file a request to the program dean or head of the Examination Board of their degree program (see § 3 par. 5a SPOBa). Please fill out the request form and set up an appointment with your dean. This includes not only the current semester, but each of the following semesters that you need the individualized curriculum, until the point that you feel you can study according to the regular curriculum.
Please submit your request before the exam registration period. (§ 3 par. 5a clause 12 SPOBa)
Request for Individualized Curriculum
If you have any questions, please reach out to your degree program advisors, the Student Advising Center or our Family Service Center.
- Scope of the curriculum
The individualized curriculum includes the semesters up to the point that you feel you can again study according to the regular curriculum.
- Persons involved in the individualized curriculum
The individualized curriculum is prepared by the student and based on advising from their degree program. The request should include the reason and any necessary proof, such as a doctor’s note.
- Approving the individualized curriculum
The individualized curriculum needs to be approved by either the dean or the head of the examination committee in the respective degree program. Approvals are made on an individual basis and only if there is no other possibility of the students reaching their academic goals.
