    Withdrawing from Exams

    • Withdrawing from non-scheduled exams

Master’s students: You can withdraw from all exams. There are no scheduled exams. Please note the time limits to complete your studies (§ 3 par. 6 SPOMa).

Bachelor’s students: You can withdraw from non-scheduled exams right up to the date of the exam. If you withdraw from a non-scheduled exam, this automatically becomes a scheduled exam in the following semester.

Sie können noch bis unmittelbar vor Beginn der betreffenden nicht-terminierten Prüfung zurücktreten.

You can withdraw from non-scheduled exams for mandatory courses (that are automatically registered) during the exam registration period on the Examination Portal. If this is not possible for some technical reason at the online portal, just send the filled-out form as a PDF to your degree program using your HTWG Konstanz email-account. If you decide to withdraw from the exam on the day of the exam, also inform the person proctoring your exam.

    • Withdrawing from exams due to illness

If you are sick and need to withdraw from one or more exams, you MUST use the„Fachärztliche Bescheinigung" (medical certification) form
      Please follow these steps:

      1. Take the form “Fachärztliche Bescheinigung” to your doctor.
      2. The doctor then fills out the form with the medical reason why you can’t take the exam.
      3. Turn in the original version to your degree program. The form needs to be turned in one day before the exam at the latest. Keep a copy of the form for future reference.
      4. The Examination Board is responsible for making the final decision.

Withdrawing from exams due to illness does not lead to a scheduled exam (cf. § 22 par. 3 SPOBa). Scheduled exams however remain scheduled exams even if you withdraw due to illness.

    • Withdrawing from ungraded exams

Please note that you also have to withdraw from ungraded exams.
