    • Securing good scientific practices

The procedure for securing good scientific practice at the HTWG Konstanz is based on the recommendations of a commission appointed by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) to investigate the causes of dishonesty in the scientific system, discuss preventive countermeasures, review the existing mechanisms of scientific self-regulation and make recommendations on how to secure them. These recommendations were published by the German Research Foundation in its memorandum "Securing Good Scientific Practice" in 1998 and updated in 2013. The procedure is also based on the recommendations contained within "On Dealing with Scientific Misconduct at Higher Education Institutions", which were adopted by the 185th Plenary Session of the German Rectors' Conference (HRK) on July 6, 1998 and updated in 2013.

The HTWG Konstanz has appointed an experienced scholar as contact person for members who have allegations of academic misconduct to report.
