24th ICE/IEEE ITMC Conference 2018 in Stuttgart

Europe's largest technology management conference - organised by the IST Institute

The International Conference on Engineering, Technology and Innovation is Europe's largest and leading technology management conference. Since 1994, scientists from all over the world have come together annually to discuss and inform themselves about the latest results in the fields of innovation and technology management, entrepreneurship and virtual enterprises. This year, the IST Institute as the local organizer was significantly involved in the 24th edition of the conference, which took place from 16 to 16 June 2018 in Stuttgart:

In 2018, the conference once again brought together an international audience of experts from a wide range of disciplines. More than 200 scientific papers were presented to the public for the first time during the three days of the conference and discussed in expert panels. Representatives from science, business and politics ensured a lively event with numerous key notes, panel discussions and workshops.

Under the slogan "The Era of connectedness: Future of Technology, Engineering & Innovation in a digital society", the conference addressed challenges and future topics such as Industry 4.0, Blockchain Technology and Artificial Intelligence. Agile organizational forms were as much a subject of the research presented as the digital simulation of business models.

The IST Institute was also able to set impulses from a technical point of view in the form of key notes by Prof. Guido H. Baltes and research paper presentations by doctoral students Nicolai Heinzelmann, Tim Gasser and Christoph Selig in the field of corporate venturing/entrepreneurship.

In addition to numerous content highlights, the conference also set highlights in the supporting programme, with excursions to local industry, to Europe's largest infrastructure construction site, the S21, or the evening events in the New Palace in Stuttgart and the festive gala dinner in Motorworld, the conference was convincing.
