The Institute for Strategic Innovation and Technology Management is the competence center for innovation and strategy. Research focuses on Strategic Transformation, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Startups, Ambidextrie, Agility and Digitalization.
We are the IST Institute for Strategic Innovation and Transformation at HTWG Konstanz, an interdisciplinary research team of motivated, creative, and unique individuals. Together, we generate new research findings from and for the practical world, across all industries, not only with and for companies, but also for startups, associations, and students. In lectures, seminars, conferences, and workshops, we share our state-of-the-art knowledge from research, thereby preparing practitioners for innovation and transformation.
Our research work focuses on gaining a fundamental and holistic understanding of emerging issues and aspects of entrepreneurship and corporate entrepreneurship. Using unique data sets and applying qualitative and/or quantitative methods, we generate new insights into topics such as startup survival, entrepreneur motivation, entrepreneurship education, innovation ecosystems, and the design and coordination of entrepreneurship in established companies in various contexts. In our research projects, we place great emphasis on practical relevance and develop concepts and tools that startups and companies can use to structure and accelerate their innovation processes. We continuously present our findings in publications and at international conferences.
