    Child Day Care

It is a personalized form of care for children ages 0–14. It serves as a supplement or alternative to other forms of institutional care, such as daycare centers, kindergartens, or after-school care.
There are various forms of child day care. Care can take place in the child care provider’s home or in suitable facilities, including in a group setting with several child care providers, or in the parents’ home provided by a child care provider.
Childcare hours are flexible and can be arranged for the entire day or on an hourly basis.

Childcare for children ages 3 and up can only be chosen as a supplement to preschool, after-school care, and school.

In the city of Konstanz, staff members at the City Youth Welfare Office can help you find a suitable child care provider, and in the Konstanz district, staff members at the Child Care Providers' Association can assist you.
