Business German and Tourism Management

    A cooperation between the Asian Studies program at the HTWG Konstanz and selected partner universities in ASIA: In this cooperation program, Asian students first complete a two-year program at their home universities, then finish their degree with a two-year program in Konstanz. Graduates earn a bachelor’s degree from both universities.

    • Graduates from the Business German and Tourism Management (WDT) program are qualified to work in the field of tourism management for international companies at the interface between Asia and Europe. They also acquire the qualifications to pursue a master’s studies in Germany, their home country or elsewhere around the world.

      The WDT curriculum is tailor-made to help you acquire and expand these skills. You will take courses in German language, business administration, economics, business law, regional studies, and intercultural communication that prepare you to work both in Germany as well as Asia. You also have the possibility of gaining essential practical experience via a 3-month internship at a German company.

    Tailor-Made Bachelor’s Degree

    Students in the WDT program first acquire solid German language skills and take introductory courses in business and economics at their home universities. At the HTWG-Konstanz, students then complete their main studies by taking Business German courses as well as specialized courses in tourism management, focusing on tourism marketing. The program also covers foundation courses in business, regional studies and intercultural communication.

    The program in Business German and Tourism Management (WDT) is a cooperation between the HTWG Konstanz and the German departments at our partner universities in China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam. Students who have successfully completed their preparatory studies at our partner universities can apply for the 2-year WDT program in Konstanz. Our esteemed partner universities include:
