The Institute for Strategic Innovation and Technology Management is the competence center for innovation and strategy. Research focuses on Strategic Transformation, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Startups, Ambidextrie, Agility and Digitalization.
Our current projects
The SML develops and implements innovative solutions for the growing complexity of mobility. It creates sustainable, future-oriented concepts that consider ecological, social, and economic aspects. Implementation follows an entrepreneurial, agile, and iterative approach to actively drive the shift toward more efficient, eco-friendly mobility.

Bodensee Linked is an initiative of eight universities in the four-country region of Lake Constance to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem and collaboration in the region. Among other things, the platform offers co-founder matching, investor search and further training to promote the exchange between start-ups, companies, universities and networks and to support founders in realizing their ideas.

DINAEMIC is a research project of the IST Institute in Constance that is developing a method for the design and implementation of decentralized, entrepreneurial innovation structures in medium-sized companies. It uses the principles of cloud architecture to promote corporate entrepreneurship, generate new knowledge and make innovation processes more efficient.

The Kilometer1 Hub is a cross-university startup hub in the Lake Constance region, supported by the University of Konstanz, HTWG Konstanz, Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences and Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences. The hub offers advice, workshops, networking and funding opportunities for students, researchers and those interested in setting up a business - from the initial idea to founding a company

eArchitecture Lab
The eArchitecture Lab of the business and application-oriented platform “Community of Practice for Strategic Management Architectures”, CoPS, is a living lab for strategic management systems. The aim of the eArchitecture Lab is to provide principles, working methods and management processes for strategic architectures, as well as an open test environment for new routines and system and software components.
