Two-Semester Foundation Year Program
We offer two-semester preparatory courses in which you can obtain subject-specific university entrance qualifications. Courses are held on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences in Konstanz or on the campus in Bad Mergentheim.
You have the following options:
Application in Konstanz...
We offer a course to prepare you for technical and engineering degree programs (T-course) and one to prepare you for economics and social sciences degree programs (W-course). With this qualification, you can apply to all universities of applied sciences throughout Germany and to universities in Baden-Württemberg. Our courses take place on the campus of the University of Applied Sciences in Konstanz and begin in the summer and winter semesters.
... or in Bad Mergentheim
Bad Mergentheim offers a technically oriented course (T-course) that specifically prepares you for study programs at the Cooperative State University. However, with this degree, you can also apply to other universities. Courses always begin in the winter semester.

Information about applying in Konstanz
You apply online (go to recognition of certificates). In addition to your certificates in the original language, we also require translations if the certificates are not in English or French. You upload the certificates in the online application.
Read the confirmation of receipt carefully.
Please do not ask about the processing status, as this will cost us time and increase the processing time. You will receive an e-mail with all the important information as soon as possible.

Deadline for application to the Studienkolleg:

Tution Fees
There are no tuition fees during the Foundation Year Programme. You only pay an administrative fee of EUR 192.50 per semester.
If you study at a University of Applied Sciences in Baden-Württemberg after completing the Studienkolleg, tuition fees of EUR 1,500 per semester will be charged. Students from Germany and EU countries as well as refugees are exempt.
