Application for Recognition
Important:
Online Evaluation or Recognition Certificate?
With documents that you submit online, we will send you an evaluation by e-mail. If your German university requires formal recognition certificate, in most cases we will need certified copies of your educational credentials by post. Please be sure to read the notes on the requirements for certification before sending the documents and the information on the specific requirements of the individual countries.
Please note that you will not receive your documents for certificate recognition (copies of your certificates) back, as they must remain with us for documentation purposes.
Answers to frequently asked questions:
The current processing time for your application for certificate recognition is four to five weeks.
You can submit an application for certificate recognition at any time. There are only deadlines at the universities to which you are applying.
Certificate recognition is free of charge.
Please do not ask about the processing status. These inquiries cost us time and extend the processing time also for your application.
Proof of German Proficiency
German universities of applied sciences offer degree programs primarily in German (most) as well as English.
German- language degree programs
If you are applying to a German- language program, we require the following:
- A German language certificate with a minimum of DSH-2 or TestDaF 4.0 etc. We will then send you a certificate that you can use to apply directly to the university of your choice.
- If you do not send us a language certificate, we will provide you with a certificate for conditional admission, which you can use to apply. The universities then decide which language skills are required for admission.
English- language degree programs
If you are applying for an English- language program, you do not need to send us any language certificates, neither for German nor English. The universities will inform you what language proficiency the require.
