    Applications

Thank you for your interest in our program. We are looking forward to receiving your application. In this section, we will provide you with information about how to apply to the program.

Applicants to the program typically hold a bachelor’s degree in Asian Studies, internationally-oriented business administration studies/economics or an interdisciplinary degree related to Asia and business. Students have a GPA of 2.5 or better (Grades in the German system range from 1.0 [highest] to 5.0). Students need advanced English skills and a background in business and economics.

Applicants who have completed a bachelor’s degree with less than 210 ECTS points can make up these points - particularly missing business prerequisites - by taking special courses designed for this purpose (conditional admission).

In case, you have not yet completed your Bachelor's degree by the end of the application deadline, please attach an official transcript with all your academic achievements so far as well as your current GPA.

    International Applicants

For all international applicants: You need to get your diploma/certificates recognised either directly at the Studienkolleg at HTWG or at an Academic Evaluation Centre (APS – "Akademische Prüfstelle") in your home country - make sure to take into account that this process takes about 3 weeks plus shipping! The certificate for your recognision must be submitted by the application deadline on June 01.

You don't need proof of German language skills because the program is completely in English.

The application portal is in German only, however, with the help of AI-tools, it should be possible for you to apply through the portal anyways.

The tuition costs for international students from outside the EU/EWR are 1,500 € per semester. You can find detailed information about exceptions and exemptions here (information currently only in German available). In addition, there is a semester fee of around €177.50 (per semester).
