International Management Asia-Europe

The International Management Asia-Europe program, emphasizing the issues of complexity and risk, can be completed in three semesters - or add a fourth one and obtain an optional double degree.

    Program Structure

The International Management Asia-Europe (MIM) master’s program consists of two in-person semesters (A and B semesters) as well as a research semester (C semester), in which students write their master’s thesis. The first-semester courses are all taught in English; some of the second-semester courses are also in English.
Both in-person semesters include in-depth business/economic, regional and legal studies courses. These courses focus on subject area and methodological content as well as social competencies. All are connected to the central focus of managing complexity and risks in international companies and organizations that are doing business in Asia.
The content in the A and B semesters are divided into the following areas: “Theoretical Fundamentals”, “Management Concepts”, “Leadership Concepts” as well as “Regional Parameters”. Students then have the option of selecting their own elective modules from other master degree programs at the HTWG Konstanz. The foundation for the MIM program curriculum is provided by the hierarchy of competencies: “Theory – Management – Leadership – Application”.

Students participating in the double degree program spend two semesters abroad at one of our partner universities, instead of doing the B-semester in Konstanz.
