Corporate Entrepreneurship (CE) has become a popular strategic practice for established companies to stay competitive in today’s volatile environment. Thereby, CE programs are formalized efforts to realize entrepreneurial activities in established companies.Despite the growing and evolving landscape of CE programs, effectively managing them remains a challenging endeavor which results in disappointing outcomes and early termination of such programs. To address the issue of a missing “management cycle” with a specific goal setting for the sustainable usage of CE, I will deep dive into the topic of how the control of CE programs might look like and whether this will work reasonably. My work will be guided by the questions of How to set appropriate goals (process)? Which dimensions and types of goals can be distinguished? Which performance measure fits the respective goal setting?
