Projektbeschreibung:
The doctoral project has the aim of developing a control system based on nonlinear model predictive control capable of driving and docking an autonomous fully-actuated surface vessel. In order to achieve this goal, the project is divided into two main phases: the first one is dedicated to identify the unknown parameters of the vessel’s dynamic model using experimental data. Then, the second phase is oriented to design the control algorithm, taking into account the identified model of the vessel, the actuators constraints and disturbances. Once the controller is designed, it will be tested in simulation as well as in the real scaled vessel from HTWG called Solgenia at the lake Constance.
