DAAD Sprachnachweis Englisch

The DAAD language certificate is a useful tool when planning to either complete an internship semester at an English speaking company or study at an English speaking university (or even only an English speaking program).
The easiest way to get the DAAD language form  filled out is to ask a university English teacher whose course you have attended within the last two years and has assessed your speaking, reading, and writing skills. When writing to your (former) English teacher, be sure to tell us in what program you study, when you completed the English course and include the DAAD form, with the first page filled out and signed, and all subsequent page headings filled out.

If you have not attended such a course, you would have to sign up for and take a short language assessment test. The test comprises speaking (10 minutes), reading (25 minutes), and writing an essay (25 minutes).

Prepare for the speaking part by
practicing your small talk skills, practice talking about your field of study and professional experience or expectations.

If you are aiming for a B2 level, we will need to see you actively use specific vocabulary from your field of study.

On the day of the test, be sure to bring the correct DAAD form for your assessor (link below) with the first page and headers of all subsequent pages filled out with your name and the language tested.  If possible print the form double-sided.
